After the successful launch of "Five Stars in One Arrow", Nansha’s commercial aerospace industry received another good news of "11 Stars in One Arrow".

At 7:37 on February 3, the second orbital plane of Geely Future Travel Constellation was successfully launched at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in a one-shot 11-star manner. The satellite successfully entered the predetermined orbit, all satellites were in normal condition, and the launch mission was a complete success, setting a new record for the number of satellites launched at the launch site.

Geely Future Travel Constellation is the world’s first commercial communication navigation and remote sensing integrated constellation built by Spacetime Daoyu, a science and technology innovation enterprise under Geely Holding Group. In 2021, Geely established the only aerospace business headquarters in the country in Nansha, Guangzhou. By building Geely Future Travel Constellation, it will help Nansha build the third pole of China’s aerospace industry and the first pole of China’s commercial aerospace industry, leading the development of China’s commercial aerospace science and technology industry.

On June 2, 2022, Geely Future Travel Constellation’s first orbital nine-star was successfully launched from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in a one-shot nine-star manner. The first orbital plane of the constellation pre-sequence successfully completed a series of work such as satellite mass production, orbital plane-level deployment, constellation-level measurement and control, and application testing. Globally, Spacetime Daoyu is an enterprise that has the ability to independently build and operate commercial satellite constellations after Iridium, Globalstar, Orbcomm, OneWeb, and SpaceX. It is also the only commercial aerospace enterprise in China to achieve constellation full-orbit deployment. In 2023, Spacetime Daoyu became the first commercial company in the world to achieve the standard-level mass production application of satellite communication vehicles.


It is reported that Space-Time Daoyu will complete the deployment of 72 satellites in the first phase of the constellation in 2025 to achieve global real-time data communication services; the second phase will be expanded to 168 satellites to achieve global centimeter-level high-precision positioning services; providing high-reliability and low-cost application services for human future travel fields, such as autonomous driving, intelligent networking, consumer electronics and other industries. At the same time, the constellation satellite is equipped with AI remote sensing function, providing 1-5m high-resolution remote sensing image products and services, empowering ecological environment monitoring and other fields.

The satellites launched this time are mass-produced by Spaceway through its own satellite super factory. As the world’s first satellite mass-production factory that deeply integrates aerospace manufacturing and automobile manufacturing capabilities, it can achieve one satellite per day, with an annual output of 500 satellites, and the production cost of satellites can be reduced by about 45%, which will help the rapid network construction of global constellations. At the same time, Spaceway has realized satellite orbit-level deployment through independent technological innovation and cooperation with highly reliable carriers, and realized the rapid construction and deployment of constellations in a one-shot-one-orbit manner; ensured the stability and reliability of constellation services through constellation-level measurement and control; and effectively built a constellation service business model through large-scale commercial landing.
